Poets really are the heroes of humanity. Their voice; their perspective; the responsibility that they carry to share their truths for better or for worse. Recently Haley King shared the first visual release with the world, the first release from a novel of poetry that she is releasing entitled SELF SESSIONS: with Haley King entitled ‘Call Me Daddy’. That was shortly followed by ‘ICE CREAM’ the second visual release from her upcoming debut publication set to release 10/28.

These visuals; my vison would’ve never been brought to life without my team. And I picked a team of people from MY Community. A Team of TALENTED BLACK FOLK FROM MILWAUKEE.
Because Milwaukee built me. So it only made sense. Even morning redemptions; it had my blood family in it. - my sister ty.king (Tyler). my sister feed.lyssa (Alyssa). my sibling Jordan. my nephew Maurice. And most of all my mother played herself as a part of our healing and acknowledging my truth.
