"WAH GWAAN!" HUSTLE TAKES ON JAMICA

Earlier this year; I was blessed enough to visit Montego Bay, Jamaica. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get somewhere tropical, perfect weather, the most relaxing and calm thoughts that I’ve ever experienced; Jamaica was the backdrop. I’m not going to dive into a minute by minute breakdown of the activities, or critique the food, or give my yelp review on the resort that I stayed in. But what I will do is share a few candid shots that I was able to capture on my trusted Nikon DSLR camera, and share just a few of my key takeaways from my trip.

  • JAMAICA - for black people is a spiritual experience. I do not know my origins; so I cannot tell you where my native land is but I’ll tell you that being in Montego Bay, especially OFF THE RESORT, I felt at home.

  • You can taste the freshness of any food that comes out of the water, in the best possible way. The shrimp was amazing; what seemed like endless options for fish dishes. For some reason I expected everything to be jerk; that wasn’t the case.

  • Put your feet in the sand and your body in the water. You get recharged from earth’s natural elements; being in the ocean just felt special. Salty as hell; but special nonetheless.

  • Locals are extremely talented it seems like in everything that they do.

  • The patois dialect is rhythmic; almost like hip-hop.
